Authors

Must disclose all financial and personal relationships that could influence their work.

Reviewers

Must inform editors about any conflict of interest that could affect their opinion of the article.

Editors

Should recuse themselves from decision-making when conflicts exist and inform the Editor-in-Chief.

Authors must indicate whether the study protocol was evaluated by an ethics committee, and in its absence, whether the research complies with the requirements of the 1964 Helsinki Declaration (with the latest amendments made in October 2013, Fortaleza, Brazil).

Patients have the right to protection of personal information, which cannot be disclosed without their consent. If consent for information use is obtained, written agreement must be provided.

Scientific misconduct includes data fabrication, data falsification (including deceptive manipulation of images), and plagiarism.

Multiple Submission

Authors should not submit the same manuscript in the same or different languages simultaneously to several journals.

Duplicate Publication

Publication of a manuscript that substantially duplicates a previously published article without clear visible reference to the previous publication.

If duplicate publication is detected during editing, the manuscript is rejected. If the article is already published, the editorial board retracts the article and posts retraction information on the journal website.
